Smelling great in the new year

Oribe’s new scents and sensibility

Oribe Hair Care began its journey in 2008. Daniel Kaner, along with two partners, including hair stylist Oribe Canales, saw an opportunity in the hair care sector to create a brand that offered a boutique perspective within the beauty industry. The brand blends craftsmanship, performance and decades of styling experience from the top of the editorial and salon worlds to create a new category in hair care.

Today, Oribe (pronounced “Or-Bay”) is a best-selling, award-winning brand that has sparked deep connections with its consumers. While most companies select a scent from a stock fragrance library, Oribe Hair Care was the first to use a fine fragrance in its hair products.

The brand collaborated with a 19th-century perfume house to blend its signature fragrance, Côte d’Azur. Evoking the glamour and warmth of the French Riviera, the bright, seductive, shared scent awakens the wearer with hints of sun-drenched Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange, Aomori apples and leafy greens. Sandalwood, vetiver and crisp amber lend their soft, woody notes, while tuberose and white butterfly jasmine, from Oribe’s native Cuba, create a sensuous and invigorating experience. The fragrance runs through the line to compose a beautiful experience for the hair — and spirit.

Now you can experience a gorgeous gift set of Oribe, complete with the signature Cote d’Azur scent. There are two other scents in the collection. Valley of Flowers is a lush floral scent that immerses the wearer in a fragrant field of fresh blooms of Bulgarian rose, peony and warm amber. Then there’s Desertland, with bright, crisp notes of juniper berry, desert wildflowers and Texas cedarwood. Each fragrance evokes a special mood and transports the wearer to dreamlike destinations.

The Oribe Fragrance collection is dermatologist-tested, vegan, gluten-free, and approved by PETA, and comes in recyclable glass bottles that feature custom resin caps created by a glassmaker located in Normandy, France. Oo la la.

The set retails for $125. For more, visit oribe.com and follow me on Instagram at @DebbiKickham.
